• Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings

  Our exchange in Mönkeberg was wonderful and exceeded our expectations in several ways. We felt immediately at home in the beautiful and comfortable house, which provided the best base for our explorations the two weeks we were there. Perfect summer temperatures allowed us to take daily advantage of the beautiful and quiet garden. The neighborhood is lovely with nice homes and streets almost void of cars. A morning routine was getting fresh bread at the bakery a short bike trip away. The beach area, a few minute walk away - with the pier, the café, and sights of passing small and large boats – has a great atmosphere to it. We used the nice path alongside the water, passing through beautiful scenery – for running and biking – all the way to Laboe. We also had three days in Berlin. Altogether, this provided us with the best vacation. Throughout there was a good communication with the host. We very much recommend an home exchange with Sabine.

  Thank you for a wonderful exchange - one of the best ever! You have a beautiful, comfortable home in a superb location: quiet but handy for buses and those great fjord ferries. And the beach cafe is traumhaft!! Laboe, the Canal locks and Lubeck provided some of the memorable days out, and we enjoyed the fabulous shopping in Kiel from the Sophienhof to the Holtenauer.

  Das Haus von Sabine und Michael liegt ruhig und nur wenige Minuten von der Ostsee entfernt. Sowohl ein Ausflug nach Kiel, Lübeck oder Eckernförde ist zu empfehlen. Mit dem Fahrrad kann man gut nach Laboe oder weiter an der Ostsee entlang radeln. Auch die Tageszeitung macht den Urlaub im Mönkeberger Haus der Familie Schlotfeld / Selle angenehm. Wirklich empfehlenswert!

  We had a fantastic stay during the easter holiday. The house is very nice with a beautiful garden and lies close to the beach. The area is very well worth a visit and we felt very welcome during our stay. Thank you!
