• A very nice exchange!

  We really enjoyed our two weeks spent in the very comfortable house of Berna and Franck. They are experienced and very caring hosts. Everything was planned to make us feel good as soon as we arrived (welcome gifts, restaurant gift card, detailed and perfectly targeted home book). H&H We discovered with pleasure all the places to visit indicated in the “home book” and pushed to Amsterdam which is only two hours away. Thank you for letting us feel like we had a 'home away from home'. We will keep wonderful memories of this exchange. Helen & Henry

  Frank en Berna hebben gezorgd voor een hartelijk welkom met een tafel vol verrassingen. Het huis is zeer comfortabel en modern ingericht met allerlei extra's zoals een open buitenveranda en een jacuzzi. De omgeving is zeer groen en rustig en ideaal voor mooie fietstochten. Een aanrader !

  Wir durften zwei sehr schöne Wochen in Berna und Franks Haus verbringen. Das Haus ist sehr komfortabel eingerichtet und entsprach genau der Beschreibung. Berna und Frank sind erfahrene und herzliche Gastgeber: Für uns stand eine Auswahl an holländischen Spezialitäten bereit, der Kühlschrank war für uns gefüllt, die Informationen waren detailliert und ansprechend. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt, besser geht es nicht! Im Gästebuch haben wir auch Anregungen für Ausflüge gefunden, die wir gerne befolgt haben. Freundliche Nachbarn haben uns in allen Fragen unterstützt. Der schön gestalteteGarten und die Terrasse waren unser Lieblingsort - wir hatten sehr schönes Wetter während der ganzen zwei Wochen. Es hat uns großen Spaß gemacht, mit den beiden während des Haustauschs Kontakt zu halten. Wir können allen zukünftigen Tauschpartnern einen Aufenthalt bei Berna und Frank in Roden von tiefstem Herzen empfehlen. Vielen Dank an euch beide!

• Perfect first home exchange experience

  Berna and Frank's house was wonderful. Great communication, detailed information and lots of information on sightseeing around Roden and beyond. Even a huge big bag of goodies when we arrived. Their home was comfortable, the garden was so beautiful and peaceful and relaxing. It's a part of Holland we had never expected to visit but are so glad we did. We had such a lovely and enjoyable 3 weeks at their house and absolutely recommend a swap with them. They are both lovely, honest, trustworthy and reliable. Now having completed our first home swap, we are much more at ease due to Berna and Frank. Thanks guys

  This was our first HomeLInk experience and we hope all future exchanges go as well. Berna and Frank left their home in a clean and tidy state and it is very comfortable. They left a lot of very helpful information about the area, restaurants and places to visit. The house was within easy walking distance to the town and other transport links and we were left bikes to use on the numerous and safe cycleways. There are many interesting places to visit within driving distance. The garden has wonderful facilities for outdoor living, parking in the drive is easy and the area is pleasant and safe. Overall this was a very positive experience and thank you Berna and Frank for a great time. It was also good to meet you, thank you for your hospitality and we hope you have as good a time at our house later in the year. Sheila and Alan

  Frank e Berna sono ospiti molto accoglienti. Hanno tantissima esperienza di scambio casa e questo lo abbiamo vissuto subito: chiamate Skype, informazioni per raggiungere la loro stupenda casa, pensieri di benvenuto per noi e la nostra piccola bimba.

• Great week in and around Roden

  We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable house and the surrounding of Roden. It was very nice to come home to the house of Berna and Frank to relax after a day of walking and exploring. We visited often the lively and romantic center of Groningen, but also the landscape around Roden. We heartily recommend this house to anyone interested in visiting the north of the Netherlands.

  I have recently completed an exchange with Frank and Berna and have to say it was a real pleasure. They are very experienced home exchangers and were so well organized! I very much appreciated the time and attention they gave to make this such a success. Their home had everything we needed and the special bonus was the recently completed garden room which is beautiful. My friend and I explored Roden and the surrounding area and then ventured to Amsterdam, Haarlem, DenHaag and Utrecht. So many interesting places to visit and such a nice home to return to. • Calme et inattendu

  Oui, les échanges déplacent les idées, proposent l'inattendu. Un pays tout plat, de grandes plages et le regard porté à l'infini, nous en avions l'idée. Mais l'accueil généreux, les fleurs dans la maison, dans le jardin, dans les rues et même dans les musées, Rodin à Gronnigen, le vent qui concentre sur le moment présent et courbe le corps. Oui, nous avons changé d'habitudes! Merci Berna et Frank de votre accueil, de la qualité des échanges écrits, de notre rencontre à Amsterdam et d'avoir pris soin de notre maison.

• Beautiful yard, comfortable home, and great locati

  Our arrival was most pleasant as their daughter, Meta & Wim picked us up at the train station. Greatly appreciated! They even had groceries for us. The yard was very beautiful & peaceful. We also appreciated driving their automatic car. The house was very clean, comfortable, spacious & quiet. It is in a central location for seeing Groningen, Friesland & Drenthe -- and there is so much to see and so much variety in what there is to see - never a boring day. We also enjoyed riding their bicycles on the many "fietspads" in all directions. Our day on Schiermonnikoog Island was very pleasant, as we hired bicycles and explored the island. The Afsluitdijk was fascinating to see. We enjoyed our day in Groningen, taking a boat tour around the city and walking up the Martinitower. Had a great time exploring Friesland & watching the sailboat race. So much to see in this part of the Netherlands. When we returned home, our house was spotlessly clean, with food in the fridge - very thoughtful.
