  We had a great time in the charming and quiet townhouse of Marie-Louise and Jurjen, situated directly at a small canaal in lovely Amstelveen. Convenient shops and beautiful parks just around the corner, perfect to make a break from buzy Amsterdam. We had nice trips to smaller places like Delft and even made it to the sea, crossing open fields of trillions of tulips. April in Holland, highly recommended!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in the NL. The area has a wonderful Indonesian takeaway and beautiful parks. If you want to explore more than Amsterdam in the NL - and we certainly recommend you do - the house is well situated for visiting beautiful towns such as Haarlem, Leiden and Utrecht. The house is attractive, comfortable and backs on to a canal - lovely!

  We had a lovely time at Jurjen and Marie-Louise’s house. We had visited Amsterdam previously as tourists but it was great to have an insight into actually living there for a week and also getting to know the Amstelveen area. The house was perfectly placed for walking in the beautiful Amsterdam Woods and also for getting the (excellent) public transport into the city centre. It was also great to sit in the garden and watch the swans and ducks playing in the canal. Jurjen and Marie- Louise provided very detailed instructions and information which made the exchange easy and stress free. Thank you also for leaving our home so clean and tidy!
