The Post- http://www.theposteast.com/ a super cute coffee/juicer/bakery only four blocks away. They have a bluegrass brunch on Sundays and the food and drinks are amazing.
Sweet Sixteenth - http://sweet16th.com/ a phenomenal bakery, savory and otherwise, that is in the heart of a neighborhood and has such good food that I wish i could eat there everyday.
The 5 points area - so many shops and resturants that you can get whatever type of food or clothes or really whatever you want to buy and it is all local businesses
Shelby Park and Shelby Bottoms Greenway -https://www.nashville.gov/Parks-and-Recreation/Nature-Centers-and-Natural-Areas/Shelby-Bottoms-Nature-Center.aspx - the coolest nature center with complete nature play facilities for kids and it is at the beginning of the longest greenway in Nashville over 20 miles of tree lined paths over rivers and creeks and through dense forest.
