We are a family of 6 although our children are now adults and don't always travel with us. We have been exchanging homes for over 20 years and have found wonderful places. We are quiet and housetrained and love animals.
We can read and write in French but don't speak it well.

Large family home (400m2) high on Malvern Hills (not a show home but clean and very comfortable - "lived in"!). Fantastic views towards Wales, described by exchangers as the most beautiful they had ever seen. Easy access to Stratford upon Avon, Birmingham, Oxford, Bath, etc. Direct train to London. Heathrow about 2 hours, Birmingham airport 1 hour.
Our house has five/six bedrooms (1 double, en suite; 2 twin; 2 single and 1 with double sofa bed). One single also has a chair bed. The playroom has a very comfortable double sofa bed. Camp and air beds also available. The large sitting room has two sets of patio doors leading to the terrace which looks west over the garden towards Wales. There is a woodburner and open fireplace and the farmhouse-style kitchen has an AGA for cooking(very easy to use!).
We have lots of books and toys and in the large, secure garden there is a climbing frame and 2 storey playhouse.

Our home is in a rural area with immediate access to the beautiful Malvern Hills. We have wonderful views across Herefordshire to Wales. There is an icecream shop and pub at the end of the road and we are within easy walking distance of an excellent tea room and café. From the house, it is half an hour's walk (down a steep hill) to the village of Colwall which has a train station, three pubs, a restaurant, a pharmacy, post office, butcher, library and a general shop as well as an extremely good coffee shop. The lovely, but very different towns of Malvern and Ledbury are each about four miles away.

We are right on the hills for walks in all directions. A 10 minute car journey will take you to Eastnor Castle https://eastnorcastle.com/ . A little further afield are Elgar's Birthplace https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/the-firs/features/the-elgar-birthplace; several other National Trust and English Heritage properties https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/days-out/regionmidlands/national-trust-in-the-midlands; http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/westmidlands/
as well as the cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester. The River Severn is close for boat trips. Malvern (4 miles) has an excellent theatre. Stratford upon Avon with its Shakespeare museums and theatres is less than an hour from us. There are various craft activities: Eastnor pottery has classes of all different lengths from 2 hours to a week. Pottery painting at Glazydayz in Ledbury is always popular. All the surrounding towns have swimming pools. There are several golf courses nearby.
