Our home is set in the heart of King's Somborne which is a pretty and peaceful village in the southern county of Hampshire. We are only a few minutes walk to two village shops and the essential village pub!

King Somborne is ideally situated for visiting the historic cities of Winchester which was once the capital of England and Salisbury which displays the best preserved original Magna Carta. (1215)
The city of Southampton is renowned for being the cruise capitol of the UK and is only 16 miles away.
Isle of Wight: for a day out or longer stays, ferries depart from Southampton or Lymington.
London is 1 hour away by train from Winchester.

All the following are within a 5-60 mins drive away:
Stockbridge with it’s pretty high street, independent shops, tempting tea rooms, restaurants and pubs is only 3 miles away.
Romsey: a small market town with a variety of independent establishments as well as a couple of larger supermarkets.
Mottisfont: a very popular National Trust property which is almost on our door step and is just one of many NT properties which can be visited on a day out.
Stonehenge-World Heritage site is one of the best known wonders of the world and a unique prehistoric monument.
Portsmouth which is home to some famous ships including HMS Warrior, the Tudor Carrack Mary Rose and Horacio Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory. All can be seen in the historic dockyard museum.
The New Forest National Park: Explore pretty villages, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard, ancient woodlands, rolling heaths, unspoilt coastlines, and the famous ponies which roam free.
Beaches and coastal towns such as Lymington, Bournemouth or Hengistbury Head and Nature Reserve.
The novelist Jane Austin’s House Museum is near Winchester

King Somborne itself is a starting point for numerous on and off road cycling routes as well as circular walks/hikes on well managed footpaths. The ancient Clarendon Way traverses the Test valley at King's Somborne on its way from Salisbury to the west and Winchester to the east.

The house itself has been modernised to meet today’s standards whilst still maintaining its character and quirks.
Downstairs there is a small lounge which has a cosy wood burner, perfect for those autumn winter nights. The kitchen-diner has an AGA cooker and an Island housing two Belfast sinks, dishwasher and a washer dryer as well as the essential wine cooler!
Bio-fold doors open from the kitchen onto a patio area. The decking forms a bridge across the Bourne leading to the gazebo and the pretty garden.
Upstairs the master bedroom has an en-suite and plenty of wardrobe space, a further double bedroom and one which we use as a study and a 4th which we use as a dressing room. In the main bathroom there is a roll top bath and a separate walk-in shower.
