Our home is situated in a quiet, friendly urban neighbourhood of mostly family houses. The residential streets are tree-lined and pedestrian-friendly and it’s easy to forget that you are so close to the centre of the city.

Almost a village in itself, we often leave our cars at home and walk to our favourite local destinations on Main Street. This might be one of the many local restaurants, cafés and grocery stores, or just a place to rest and relax.

Queen Elizabeth Park is also just a short walk away. At this 130-acre (52 hectare) municipal park, you can get one of the best views of the city, visit the Bloedel Conservatory to see exotic birds and plants, and even play a round of pitch-and-putt or Frisbee golf.

Next to Queen Elizabeth Park, there’s the fantastic Hillcrest community centre that has a gym, an ice rink, and aquatic centre.

Also, being central, it doesn’t take very long to get to other parts of Vancouver from our neighbourhood. By car you can be walking along the False.
