Large family house in private gated estate on the grounds of Sheen Falls Lodge, a 5 star hotel, previously voted Number 1 Resort hotel in Europe by Conde Nast (www.sheenfallslodge.ie) . Guests have the use of all hotel facilities inc pool, tennis, fishing, spa. Fully equipped home away from home with all mod cons. Kenmare is a vibrant small town, famous for it's many restaurants and bars. Ideal base for exploring the Kerry and West Cork area and the Wild Atlantic Way.
This house is our holiday home and so we can consider non simultaneous exchanges too. Availability in July and August is more limited. The house is very well equipped with everything you would need for a wonderful holiday in Ireland. There are 3 en suite rooms upstairs, 2 with double beds and 1 with twin beds. Downstairs there is 1 double room with en suite bathroom. The kitchen/dining area is large with access to the patio. There is also a cosy yet spacious living room with an open fire and access to the patio and garden. Open to offers for exchange in the summer months and possibly the Easter break. We have a preference for homes with outdoor space in the summertime as opposed to apartments which we are less interested in.

Kenmare is a vibrant, friendly, and picturesque small town with plenty of great restaurants, cafes, bars and lovely shops. There is lots to do in the vicinity and there is easy access to the delights of west Cork and the Kerry countryside. The house offers easy access to the Ring of Kerry and the Beara peninsula, both outstanding areas of natural beauty. Our house is in a private estate a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. As a guest in our house you can use the pool at the hotel as well as use bicycles and book the outdoor tennis court. The house has a file packed with information on things to do and various Day Trips in and around the area. There is a tourist office in the town and they are great for helpful suggestions and ideas of things to do and see.

Kenmare town centre is roughly a 25 minute walk from the house or less than 5 minutes in the car. There are walks around the house and a little further afield you can get access to the ring of Kerry and the Beara Way for hiking, walking and cycling. The hotel is a short 2/3 minute walk away where you can swim, play tennis, rent bikes, go horse riding, have a meal or a drink.
