The basic idea of our house and garden is the realization of the combination of traditional rural life in lanzarote with contemporary comforts, asthetics and travel experiences. We love to find our house and garden as clean and tidy as it was when we left. We do the same and we always respect the belongings of others. In case you should accidently break something, please tell us frankly, we hate surprises :) Of course we have to find our cats, Salina & Luisa, alive and in good health and mood as well :) They are very kind with everybody and easy to handle.
It is strictly forbidden (as well as in most places on the island) to throw anything into the toilet (paper, sanitary towels, cigarette stubs...), there is a bin provided.
Smoking is not allowed in the house but feel free to do so on the terrace and in the garden, using the ashtrays provided.
Depending on the length of your stay, we would ask you to gather the windfall or rotten fruits as well in a bucket and throw it into the normal garbage. Depending on season it could be required to apply an ecological plant protection product. The plants, especially those in the pots, need to be watered. There is also an automatic watering which has to be switched to water different parts of the garden.
We kindly ask you to use the paths generally and not to step on the stone gardens. As for the vegetation in Lanzarote normally is very poor due to the water deficiency, the soil is usually covered with black or red granulated lava (so-called picón) to maintain the dew of the night. Thus, there is no lawn to mew, but the leaves should be raked from time to time to keep the seatings inviting.
Please understand that this is our residence and not a holiday home: no parties, no additional guests, no children, no pets.
