My husband David and I live on the beach at Maroochydore we are retired but lead an active and social life.
We are gym members where we box, yoga etc. golf, squash, sail, surf, climb, walk, dance given a chance all this is only a short drive in our car, you can walk to supermarket, cafes, restaurants. We go to almost any musical concert etc. on in the area plus bands at the local surf clubs, again just a walk. Movie theatre, lots of entertainment at the week end with bands, concerts, jazz, live theatre. Scuba diving and fishing is very popular.
We lived in the Middle East for many years before retiring in 2006 and moving to the Sunshine Coast. Brisbane city is only just over an hours drive. We go to Brisbane about every 2 - 3 months for what we call our " City Fix "
We also enjoy wining and dining.

Beachside Apartment living on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
Master bedroom, Second Bedroom has fold down Sofa bed, two ensuite bathrooms, ensuite off master bedroom has a very large spa bath, media room, sea facing balcony, combined lounge, dining areas, fully self contained kitchen with all modern appliances. We are on level 12 of a 14th floor Resort.
On level 2 there is a lap pool and spa. On level 14 also has a spa and bbq and general entertaining area.
Central heating/airconditioned.
Jaguar Car Available, 4 door saloon, - not new but reliable !!
Secure parking in the basement.
Tour Desk at Reception.
Downstairs there are a few coffee shops and restaurants.

Beaches galore (mostly patrolled), many and varied tourist drives, art trails, 3 gyms in the immediate area, kilometers of flat walking along beached or paths.
For the keen fisherman there is the river, ocean or offshore fishing. Horse riding, tandem skydiving.Nearby horse racing (not Ascot) but still enjoyable.
Known worldwide Noosa - is 30 minutes away and the Heritage Listed Fraser Island, can be reached in less than 2 hours.

There are 25 markets from Wednesday through to Sunday including the Iconic Eumundi Markets.
Hinterland is an area at a higher elevation, and a 20 minute drive, this is home of Potters. Painters, Leather workers, Glass Artisans, Timber and Stone Carvers and precious metals and endless array antique shops.
