We are located in the picturesque Shenandoah Valley, an area dotted with vineyards, historical sites, hiking trails, and antiquing.

We are approximately 1.5 hours from the DC area (only 1.25 hrs from the nearest Washington, DC metro stop); one hour from Charlottesville, VA; 40 minutes from James Madison University; 40 minutes from Charlestown/Harpers Ferry, VA.

We are surrounded by Civil War battle sites and are also only an hour away from Lexington, Va home of Stonewall Jackson, Washington & Lee University, Virginia Military Institute, and the burial site of Robert E. Lee.

We are minutes away from the beautiful Shenandoah National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, and famous Skyline Drive, areas full of easy to strenuous hiking trails and camping sites.

We are also located directly on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, where you can fish, canoe, and just relax.

Downtown Woodstock has a movie theatre, a few restaurants, and many shopping opportunities. Also, on the second weekend of August there is a 30+ mile "yard crawl" on Rte. 11, full of bargains and treasure finds galore.

We are also one hour from the famous Blackfriars Shakespeare Playhouse (in Staunton, VA), a venue with performances on the same level with Broadway for a fraction of the cost!

We are also 30 minutes away from two smaller, family oriented ski resorts....Bryce Mountain and Massanutten Resort.

You will need to use your car, but downtown Woodstock has a wonderful cafe and is a great walking town.
There will soon be a brewery downtown as well....opening in Spring 2015!
In addition, there are several award winning wineries in the area!
The Shenandoah national park entrance is just miles away, as well as many other hiking opportunities.
Antiquing opportunities are also available up and down Route 11.
Black friars Shakespeare Playhouse is located in Staunton, about an hour south and is excellent!
Many civil war sites are also in the area, including New Market, Manassas(Bull Run), Antietam, etc.
