Happily retired couple with empty nest. Our five children each with spouse and nine grandchildren are living around the UK as well as in U S A & Australia

May want family members to join us if accommodation allows...then willing to share more of our own accommodation.
Genealogy facilities locally are excellent -with new Cornwall Studies Centre opened in September 2019.

Not sure if this correct place to make comment ...have few allergies and unable to stay in home with cats.

I sought this location so that I could do a week’s walking on the Lizard Peninsula and I could not have found a better base. I stayed in Josie and Christopher’s Annexe which was roomy, comfortable and well furnished with a very warm welcome. Mullion village was just a 5 minute walk away with all facilities and Mullion Cove at sunset was just spectacular. I had thought the North coast of Cornwall could not be bettered for scenery, stunning coastline and quaint villages but I was wrong. The Lizard is absolutely beautiful. A big thank you to my hosts for a great week.

The house annex was perfect for us. Just the right size for a couple. Completely self contained and exactly as described. Parking was easy and the village a quick walk away …. the nearby co-op provided us with salads, microwave meals etc. Mullion church (around 15c) pew carvings were very special as we love historic places. And the Marconi centre is also close by. Access to the nearest bay (and costal path) was about a 10min walk. We loved the walks along the coastal path to different bays. Access to more distant bays easy by car. The local pasties are a must! Josie and Christopher were warm and very generous hosts …thank you both so much for a lovely time and great exchange. ?✅?

Five minutes walk from the famous coastal path of Cornwall, Josie and Christopher's comfortable and spacious house is based in the village of Mullion with lovely pubs, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed walking and visiting the beautiful beaches with cafes with the most fantastic views. There's very interesting and historic houses and gardens nearby to visit. Josie and Christopher were very kind and generous and we very much enjoyed exchanging with them. A great holiday.

Unfortunately, we're not able to accommodate any more exchanges for 2024. Happy if folks tentatively want to enquire for 2025.

Our delightful annexe with private entrance and parking for one car - is an ideal base from which to explore The Lizard peninsula- an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and West Cornwall.

Option 1. Sleeps 2 -Annexe with one bedroom with king sized bed and one bathroom with walk in shower -as shown ....
Option 2. Sleeps 4-The annexe plus another bedroom with king sized bed and full bathroom with bath & walk in shower.
Comfortable sitting room with dining area and kitchen....leading onto deck secluded garden with sea views
Cooking facilities in annexe include an induction hob, combination microwave / grill / convection oven, slow cooker & coffee machine.
Has own fridge dishwasher washing machine and outside area for drying clothes.
PLEASE NOTE….YOU DO HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE ANNEXE BEDROOM TO ACCESS TO SECOND BEDROOM AND BATHROOM.
THIS IS NOT USUALLY A PROBLEM IF SHARING WITH FRIENDS / FAMILY.

There are numerous food options available in the village from take away curry , fish and chips pizza and of course Cornish pasties!
Mullion Meadows and Chocolate Factory serves meals as well as a pub- The Old Inn.
Restaurants at the Mullion Cove Hotel and Polurrian on the Lizard- all in walking distance.
The fishing coves at Cadgwith & Coverack all serve food & drinks plus ice cream !!!
As well as …..The Lizard Helston Porthleven Falmouth and Penzance are awash with eateries.
We are on the coastal footpath which gives access to Polurrian beach and the rugged cliffs.
Walking further to Poldhu beach and famous cafe for hot chocolate breakfasts and light lunches . Pizzas on Friday nights xx

In a couple of minutes you are in the centre of Mullion village with its many amenities.

We live in a small rural village called Mullion on The Lizard peninsula- the most southerly part of the U K
The annexe is attached to our main house but has own private entrance. ...and self contained.
The quiet and secluded garden is shared with us but has own patio seating area and clothes line.

It is a tourist area so can be quite busy especially in July & August.
There are many wonderful gardens nearby to visit, many belonging to the National Trust, others private - Trebah The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project.
There are rugged cliffs- The Lizard and Kynance Cove - fishing villages like Cadgwith -amazing walks as well as exploring -
The Helford River......messing about on boats.
The two local hotels do “day passes “ to use their facilities as well as meals.
A car would be helpful, but we do have bus services and would be happy to help arranging transport.
If we are home pleased to advise you, or we will find a helpful neighbour ( if off on our travels ) and of course lots of info written down.

The sea cliffs and walks. Surf lessons at local beaches.
Local attractions include band and choir concerts -Village Shows -Open Garden and Mullion’s Scarecrow Festival August bank
holiday week end. Ideal for walking the South West Coast path

The Helford river a short drive away- with sailing. Diving school at Porthkerris as close by
Roskillys’s Croust House for delicious ice cream.
Many National Trust attractions Please see their Cornwall guide.
The Lizard- Kynance Cove-Cadgwith- Coverack-St Keverne and the market town of Helston.
Porthleven with its abundance of fish eateries Plus lots more.

Nearby places for day trips - Mining Hertitage in Redruth & St Just

Maritime Museum and port in Falmouth Pendennis Castle day trips to St Mawes.
-Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens as well as shopping & cinema.
Truro our main shopping town...river boat trips can be taken from here.

Penzance- Penlee Gallery - St Michaels Mount as well as exploring St Just ( Airport to Isles of Scilly ) Geevor Mine- Sennen...walk to Lands End !!!
Minack Theatre and Cable station at Porthcurno
Newquay - most popular with surfers also our local airport.
Train services local to us -Redruth Penzance or Truro.
St Erth ( Park & ride ) to St Ives spectacular train trip .

Welcome to our self contained annexe with private entrance. Unfortunately for you but fortunately for us we often have a houseful of family staying in July and August, so not very likely we would be able to exchange. If you are able to come out of season you will appreciate Cornwall at its best.....the roads are less congested, easier to book at local attractions and restaurants, it’s when we enjoy our county the most.

We may be “ home” for your stay and happy to give local advice- ( this will also be written down too ) or will ask one of our friends to ensure all your needs are met.
Mullion is situated between three coves Poldhu Polurrian and Mullion Cove and is a small village with lots of amenities as well as being on the South West Coast path for those who enjoy walking.
We shall leave our annexe spotlessly clean for you to enjoy.
