Our Victorian-era house is in a quiet neighborhood just 12 blocks south of the campus of University of California Berkeley. With four cohousing families who live nearby, we share a yard of flower and vegetable gardens and a central piazza perfect for sitting in the sun with a good book.

We are two adults, one retired and one working for a non-profit legal service organization. Our thirty-something son and daughter live in the Bay Area and Brooklyn, respectively, and may sometimes join us for part of an exchange. We all love to read, hike, eat, shop, travel, see new places and meet new people, and have been successfully exchanging since 2005.

For several of our previous exchanges, we have traveled a day or two early to be able to meet and share a meal with our exchange family, which we have found leads to a wonderful cultural interchange and connection.

We are open to weekend/holiday offers in and around California, as well as longer domestic/international exchanges.

For car exchange, we offer our hybrid-electric Prius Prime that seats 5. Our home is walking distance to BART & bus lines, groceries, restaurants, parks and hiking trails.
