Our neighborhood is calm and helpful (plus we have wonderful friends&family around who will help if help is needed). Even though there live many children of all ages, it is mostly quiet. There don't drive many cars on street in front of our house, since it is a play street and used by the neighbours only. A modern indoor pool is 200 meter away only, two playgrounds are around a few minutes to walk only. It is the perfect spot to start walks or to cycle and explore the area: The tiny Dutch village Arcen or Venlo, beautifully situated at the border of the Maas river, the beautiful landscape of the Lower Rhine Area with its forests, fields and agricultural touch.

There is a lot to do around here, for every age and interest:
Cities/Culture:
- take the train from Nieukerk (or your car) to explore the exciting German cities Duesseldorf (45 minutes by car), Cologne (1 hour by car) or Aachen 1.15 hours by car)
- cycle to Arcen and have a coffee at the border of Maas river
- explore the Netherlands: the beautiful landscape of the Maasduinen ( https://www.lustforlimburg.com/ ), the shopping-friendly city of Venlo, the huge Outlet in Roermond ( https://www.mcarthurglen.com/en/outlets/nl/designer-outlet-roermond/offers/ ) - and it is a two hour drive to Amsterdam only!
Family:
- spend days in Irrland, a very familiy-friendly and affordable funpark just 15 Minutes by car: https://www.irrland.de/en/index.php
- visit Weeze Animal Parc with a wide range of regional animals, free of charge and have an icecream at Al Pago, the best ice cafe in the region
- walk the pittoresque village of Wachtendonk and spend a day at Holleshof fun parc
- just go around the corner to see goats, donkeys and cows - oder enjoy the local playgrounds!
Culinary:
- enjoy the famous Walbecker Spargel (Asparagus) in spring time

If you are our guest in summer time, it would be nice if you could water the garden. No worries, we don't have English lawn, but if a few plants survive, it would be great!
