Koduvahetuseks pakutava kodu kirjeldus
Imagine living in a warm, colourful home with a vaulted ceiling and huge, round roof windows. Natural light, warmth and sunshine floods in during the day and at night the lower half of each window is highlighted by tiny lights making them look like beautiful eyelashes. This style of living is usually reserved for those living in bungalows or rooftop apartments, so we are delighted to have this in our very home.
We moved our living and dining areas upstairs into the warmth and light two years ago when we renovated our Victorian terraced house to make it eco friendly, warm and beautiful. The result is fantastic and we are so happy to live here now.
Our sleeping quarters were flipped downstairs at the same time to make darker, cosy bedrooms more conducive to sleeping. There is a master bedroom with an ensuite toilet, and a second bedroom for 2 children max with a secret fold-down bed. Also downstairs is a family bathroom and a washer/dryer.
Size really doesn’t matter with our home as we have packed a large amount into a small space and made storage space out of every nook and cranny - including some little drawers built into our stairs.
We live on a quiet street in a cul-de-sac just moments from a family gastropub and minutes from the centre of much-loved Walthamstow village with a small parade of shops to explore.
Free parking is just outside on the street. For those on foot; Walthamstow Central station is 15 mins’ walk for the tube into the centre of London (15 mins) or the train will take you to Liverpool Street or Kings Cross in the same amount of time. Leafy ancient woodland is 15 mins’ walk the other way, for dog walks or bike rides with the kids.

Ümbruskonna kirjeldus
We live in Walthamstow, which is prized for being one of London's best urban villages. Timeout recently awarded Walthamstow the title of the 'UK's coolest neighbourhood' with the following description by reviewer Joe Mackertich:
‘If you’re from London, Walthamstow has a bit of a rep. It’s where all your friends moved five years ago: the place with more prams than people, where the streets are awash with hoppy IPAs, sourdough pizza and obnoxiously expensive houseplants. But this isn’t just where people priced out of Hackney go to have kids: there’s loads to do, tons of nice people call it home, and it’s an actual creative hub, a place where stuff gets made. Over on Blackhorse Lane you’ve got the formidable Blackhorse Workshop, home to some of the city’s most creative folk, and the climbing wall-meets-yoga studio-meets-co-working space Yonder.
‘On the other side of the neighbourhood, there’s God’s Own Junkyard, the neon-sign warehouse that’s a major local attraction, and right next door the Wildcard and Pillars breweries, beer and cider taproom The Real Ale Co, and artisanal gin-makers Mother’s Ruin. Local stadium Wadham Lodge is home to mighty non-league football team Walthamstow FC, making pitchside craft beer an attractive proposition. Finally, you’ve got a new comedy-centric theatre – Soho Theatre Walthamstow – opening in the old Granada Cinema next year. And what’s cooler than a theatre? Nothing, that’s what.’

Meie soovitused, kuhu minna ja mida teha ajal, kui viibite meie kodus
Our house is moments away from a family gastropub, several wonderful coffee and lunch places and a parade of shops which include independent boutiques, a small supermarket and a chemist. Our village is largely pedestrianised, making it a wonderful place to safely walk or cycle around.
For longer walks we are lucky to have ancient woodland on our doorstep with Hollow Ponds just 15 mins' walk - perfect for dogs and children.
Nearby worthwhile exploring are also:
- a beautiful, recently renovated church that has stood on the same spot for 900 years
- the 'Ancient House' which was built in Tudor times
- loads of other history you can see from walking around our streets
- Walthamstow market (one of Europe's longest markets)
- a range of beer and gin distilleries concentrated in an area called The Brewery
- Victoria Park (15 mins' drive) which is a jewel in London's East and the perfect place to walk your dog and get a coffee or gelato depending on the weather

Mis meile meeldib ja mis mitte ... Siin on meie eelistused ja kodu reeglid.
Please follow our guidelines below during your stay:
- Please leave our home as you find it - clean and tidy.
- We live in a built up area and our neighbours are close by so please avoid making excessive noise - especially before 8am or after 9pm.
- You may open the doors on the top level out onto the terrace but please DON'T go out onto the roof area as otherwise we'll get into trouble with our neighbours
- Please note the aforementioned roof area does NOT have any safety railings so please don't let small children or animals wander outside.
