We had a fabulous stay in charming Ratece in September of 2016. This was our 9th exchange, and we could not have been more pleased with our hosts, the house or the location. Frank and Niamh were so friendly, accommodating, and easy going. It was simple to set up the non-simultaneous exchange. After our initial Skype call, they were readily available to answer all our questions and provide assistance as needed. There were no surprises upon our arrival. Everything was as expected (better, actually). The house was clean, comfortable and modern. It had lots of glass so great light all day, and wonderful views. Ratece has an amazing location. It's just minutes from Italy and Austria, and there is easy access to endless adventures, in and around Triglav National Park. The mountains are breathtaking - even for this Colorado couple - and we never tired of the views, the hikes, the bike rides. We had three incredible weeks at Frank and Niamh's, but could have stayed much longer. We are already planning another trip to Slovenia and Ratece will definitely be on our list.
