We have had a wonderful time in the spacious and comfortable home of Gabi and Ralf. It was very nice to meet up in Amsterdam at the start of our exchange, so we could show them around before leaving. The house of Gabi and Ralf is located in a super quiet area on the rim of a small historic village, overlooking the fields. We were lucky to be there while the rapeseed was in full bloom, transforming the surrouding area in a bright yellow feast for the eyes. The area is ideal for bird lovers, there are many different species flying around, including quite rare birds. From their home it is only a short ride to the lovely old town of Duderstadt with its timbered houses, or Göttingen with lots of nice shops and a great forest right next to it with a lovely beer garden. We've also made a number of beautiful hikes in the nearby Rodenberg hills and Harz mountains, thanks to the excellent guide book that Gabi and Ralf provided us with. Our holidays was over much quicker than we thought, but it was nice to come back and find our home well taken care of. Communication has been very nice and smooth throughout, and it was especially impressive that Gabi also speaks Dutch. We can totally recommend this home exchange, and hope to do it again in the future!
