Florence and Roelof's house is located in a pictoresque small tow in a peaceful and lovely neighborhood. Montpellier beaches and old town were accessible, a nice 30-45 min drive away. We enjoyed hikes through varied landscapes, such as views from the Pic Saint Loup and attractions in the surrounding towns.

We felt very welcome in Florence's and Roelof's house in a small and calm village near Montpellier. Super-golf course in this village and with the Cevennes nearby we were able to have a sportive, green and Montpellier-orientated holiday all at the same time. We appreciated the the 'green' approach of Florence and Roelof in their way of living in this house. And we were happy with the contact we had during our stay in their home. Highly recommended exchange for France-lovers like us!

this exchange worked very well. The family is easy to get in contact with, both in advance and during the process. They were helpful with good advice when we needed it. The house is typically French, with cozy atmosphere and it is a nice starting point to discover the south of France. You may want to bring GPS for the first few days, it is particularly difficult to orient oneself in Montpellier. Also, if you do not want to make a lot of food at home, it is best to leave the village to eat. There are many restaurants in Montpellier. The family left our home nice and clean, and we can, for sure, recommend them for future exchanges!

We are experienced with home exchange (6)

We welcome you to our sunny 120 m² semi-detached house with a shaded Mediterranean garden. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood (private street) in a village with a lovely food market on Saturday morning and plenty of local organic products. We are situated between the Cevennes mountains (45mn) and the Mediterranean sea (40mn) at 5 mn walk from the village center. Our location is very convenient to enjoy the nice cultural city of Montpellier with its many festivals (9km, 20 mn with 10mn drive, park and ride and tramway to the city center), watch the flamingos in Camargue (1h), hike in the natural Park of Cevennes (1h), and explore fascinating UNESCO world heritage sites such as the 'Pont du Gard', the Carcassonne medieval city, the Causse and Cevennes natural parks. The Salagou lake, the medieval village of Saint Guilhem le Desert, the Roquefort caves, are all sites of high touristic interest.

Our house benefits from a new wooden extension and solar panels. The master bedroom has a top class 160x200 bed. The extension has also a double bed. Another bedroom has a single bed. There are toilets and shower downstairs and bathroom and separe toilets upstairs. We have books everywhere (in english too). The house remains cool in summer since of the mature trees of the garden. Air conditioning is available if necessary. Fiber optic broad band internet (wifi or cables for wave-sensitive people) is available.

The playground in the park is great for kids and is 3mn walk from our home. We have a golf course in the village. Wine tasting in the Pic Saint Loup wineyards is quite famous !
To swim, there are many options: beaches (30 to 40 mn south), Herault river with lovely spots and with kayak and canoes (30 mn north), Salagou lake (40 mn west) and also a nice swimming pool with an outdoor pool in the country (15mn east)
