The Oostoever district in Amsterdam-West is a very popular and child-friendly residential area, on the eastern shores of Sloterplas.
The house is a 5-minute bike ride from Amsterdam-West, which offers many good restaurants and coffee bars. In 15 minutes you’re in the centre of Amsterdam by bike, travelling a totally green route through Rembrandtpark and Vondelpark. It is also conveniently located for facilities, public transport and highway access (A10, A4 and A9). Shops, supermarkets, Postjesweg metro station, bus and tram stops are all within walking distance. Sierplein, with its shops, market and supermarkets and the Lelylaan train station are all within a short cycling distance.

This part of the city also has increasingly more recreational opportunities on offer. There’s Sloterpark with Sloterplas lake (with its new beach, near Hotel Buiten), Rembrandtpark, Van Eesteren pavilion, and the Meervaart theatre, while the Nieuwe Meer (lake) and the Amsterdamse Bos are also close by.
