Quiet and calm neighborhood, but yet central and close to Son. Little traffic around the house and friendly neighbours.
The house is located next to a little lake and the woods, deer runs over the plot on almost daily basis and you hear their distinctive sounds almost every night, which is very nice. Just a short stroll down to Son, which you can also see from the house.

In Son you will find grocery store, a variety of nice restaurants and cafes, small shops, Spa Hotel, and a nice harbor area. In the summer, there is lively life both on land and on water. Several nice beaches in the area. Golf course is just "down the road", 5 minutes walk away. You can easily bring your equipment walking from the house. Tennis courts in Son. During the summer months there are several places in Son with Stand Up shows and concerts with outdoor seating.

Son is situated south from Oslo, 40 minutes by car or train. In the summer months you can use a ferry between the port of Son and Aker Brygge in Oslo and bring along the beautiful coastline. The highway is only 5 min. away, which gives you easy access to explore other nice places like Drøbak with Santaclause postoffice and christmas house open all year around and ferry over to Oscarsborg Fortress, you can visit the old city in Fredrikstad or even Sweden with Strømstad, or Göteborg which is about 2 1/2 hours drive away. About 10 min. drive to Vestby where you find Oslo Fashion Outlet (more than 50 stores, 30-70% discounts) and Eventyrfabrikken which is Scandinavias biggest inside playland for kids with real size dinosaurs. About 20 min. drive to the amusementpark Tusenfryd.
