How would you like the tranquility of the countryside with the buzz of the city only an hour away? Well look no further.

Our large, modern three bedroom home is situated on 2.5 Ha, surrounded by lawns, gardens and a forest. Through the property we have over 200 rhododendrons.

Just off the modern kitchen, lies the large patio, one of our favourite places to eat and watch the birds in the forest, with a barbecue, and a shade house. In the middle of the house there is a sunroom, another great place to eat.

The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and an ensuite, complete with an antique cast iron bathtub for soaking and a steamroom/shower. The second bedroom has a double bed, while the 3rd has two single beds in a loft. They share a bathroom with a bathtub and shower with a separate toilet.

An hour away in Vancouver, Canada's third largest city, there are: Chinatown, Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, Spanish Banks, Vancouver Aquarium, Dr Sun Yet-Sen Classical Chinese Gardens and the Museum of Anthropology, just to mention a few.

We are only 2 1/2 hours from Whistler, which was the site of the 2010 Olympics. It is a beautiful drive with views of the ocean, mountains, glaciers and snowfields. Along the way it is possible to see all sorts of wildlife including bald eagles. They appear by the hundreds when the salmon return for spawning.

We are 20 minutes from the US border and 3 hours from Seattle.

We are near Provincial and local parks with many scenic walking routes of various degrees of difficulty. They range from flat walks along the riverbank to strenuous hikes up the Coast Range Mountains past waterfalls and through virgin old growth forests. We are a five minute walk from Whonnock Lake and Park. Whonnock Lake is a motorboat free lake and is a great place to have a picnic or get a suntan on a beach. There is also swimming and a playground for children.
