The type of family that would enjoy our house are those who would like to enjoy rural village life in the heart of Ireland, on the doorstep, you will find three pubs within a short walk, then if you are into long walks there are very scenic walks by the river through mature trees and up through the Woodstock estate. Fishing for salmon is available in the river 100 meters from the house. It is one of Ireland's finest rivers, and it is possible to rent a canoe. One of our greatest Golf courses is 8k away and has hosted the Irish Open and American Express Championship won by Tiger Woods in 2004. The village is one of many beautiful villages in the area with lots of pursuits to avail of. Kilkenny city is 20 minutes drive away and has a wealth of history to be discovered including its impressive Castle centrally located in the city. It also is a very clever spot to be situated if you are looking to explore anywhere in the very popular Southern area of our great country. If you are into history, Kilkenny is part of Ireland's ancient east and is rich in natural beauty. I am a landscape photographer and that is why I choose this particular place to live amongst it.
