Koduvahetuseks pakutava kodu kirjeldus
SUMMER 2024 WE HAVE AN EXCHANGE This is a beautiful wooden house from early 1930s renovated in 2020 with a sunny balcony and view to the sea. The house is 150 sqm.
It features altogether 3 bedrooms (+ 1 one bedroom with sofa in the basement) and 2 other rooms in three storey arrangement.
First floor: one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom with WC
second floor: 2 bedrooms and one WC
in the basement: bathroom and sauna, 1 bedroom with sofa + tv and stereo and a utility room with laundry facilities etc.
Kitchen is equipped with induction stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer.
Utility room is equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer.
House has a fire and burglar alarm system which can be turned on and off with the keys or remotely by mobile phones.
There is a small garden and balcony with an outdoor table that seats 8 with a view to the sea. The garden has various berry
bushes and roses which do not need too much attention.
There are four bicycles available; one for ladies, one for men, one unisex gravel bike as well as two for youngsters (girls bike of size 28’ and boys bike of size 27,5’)
We also own a motor boat registered for 10 which is located 500 metres from our house and can be used if the visitors have enough seafaring skills. We own two sea canoes together with our neighbor and they can be used if visitors have enough skills.

The house is located within the Helsinki city area approx. 10 minutes walking (or 4 min by buss) from the Helsinki Metro. The house is located 13 kilometers from the centre of Helsinki and you can access it within 25 minutes by bus and subway. The nearest bus stops are some hundred meters away (small neighbourhood buss line 100 metres and big busses 350 metres). The nearest mall is about 20 minutes walking distance or 10 minutes by buss or bike (Itäkeskus Itis shopping centre) and the closest convenient store is about 15 minutes’ walk 05 8 minutes bike ride from the house. The house can be reached from Helsinki Vantaa Airport via combining train, subway and bus within about 50 minutes or by taxi in about 30 minutes.

The house is located near the sea at Vartiokylänlahti (Vartiokylänlahti Map - Helsinki, Finland) and thus there are few beaches near by as well as “marina” with a small restaurant. There is a nature and culture walk route going along the Vartiokylänlahti (Vartiokylänlahden luontopolku / Luonto- ja kulttuurikävelyreitti | Service map (hel.fi)

Puotila Manor - Puotilan Kartano + Stenkka summer bub with a terrace and with outdoor liveconcerts in the park
Rastila Manor with Café Monami: buffe lunch and bub + sauna facilities by the sea
Nature paths for running bicycling and trekking 200 metres from the house with a crossing towards the seashore paths and towards the forest paths (Mustavuori)
Aurinkolahti beach - one of the best beaches in Helsinki area with commodities (several restaurants buffet lunc and fine dining at Restaurant Vilamo cafes, grocery stores for snacks, supping, canoeing, small boat harbour etc.)
Uutela forest and nature reservation with nature paths for running, bicycling and trekking. Uutela starts at Aurinkolahti.

It is important for us to find our house neat and tidy when we get back. We have two teenagers, small kids are not so welcome unless they are very well behaving and nothing gets broken.
