Our home is located in a historical and nice town: <a href="http://www.menen.be">Menen</a>, equiped with all facilities & guides, that can act as an excellent starting point to explore Belgium as well as the nothern part of France, as it is located close to the French border and several historical cities (within 30 min drive) such as <a href="http://www.kortrijk.be">Kortrijk</a>, <a href="http://www.ieper.be">Ypres</a> (<a href="http://www.flandersfields.be/">Flanders Fields memorial</a>), <a href="http://www.brugge.be">Brugge</a>, <a href="http://www.gent.be">Ghent</a>, and <a href="http://www.lille.fr">Lille</a> (France; add 1h TGV to Paris) . A bus stop is only 500m away and the gives you connection to the train in all directions, even the seaside (45 min to sandy beaches in Belgium as well as to the white cliffs in France). In addition, the region is equiped with nicely organised biking routes and even indoor Skiing facilities at only 10 mins drive.
