We had two good weeks in Rotselaar. The De Munck’s house is cosy, and is well decorated with a mix of modern design and antique items. The garden is private with many plants. There is also a summer outside kitchen to enjoy warm evenings. Rotselaar has a lake which has a beach and a windsurfing club, this is easily accessible from the house on foot. The village is ideally placed to visit Belgium. We had many excursions including several hikes, a trip to Waterloo, Antwerp, Brussels and Leuven. Belgium is extremely rich in european history and we enjoyed visiting museums. Bert and Lien were very helpful and recommended places of interest, restaurants and left us detailed guides of things to do and discover. We gladly took their advice and were not disappointed. They communicated well with us before and during our exchange and left our house in a good condition, clean and tidy. A home exchange with them is recommended.

Dear Bert, thanks for the great time! The house has a very nice atmosphere and a beautiful garden to relax. It is good located to bike, visit beautiful cities and having a great time in the nature. Bert & Lien have been fantastic hosts: their home was cosy, clean and welcoming and they have been very friendly and helpful with providing information about the house and their area. Rotselaar has a lovely lake and amenities and is a fantastic base for exploring many beautiful Belgian towns, either by car or by train, as well as many attractions such as zoos and theme parks.
