Our holiday house is set in the Sandon River village of 35 houses. Midway between Sydney and Brisbane on the east coast of NSW Australia. The village is in the Yuragir National Park. Access to the village is either over the river (2minutes); along the beach(15minutes) or the track thru the national park.
Sandon village is pristine, unspoilt and beautiful. There are no shops. Kangaroos live in the village and emus are occasional visitors. There are miles of white sand surfing beaches. The river too is excellent for swimming and fishing. Birds abound on the walking trails around the village. The sub-tropical climate (average July w temp range of 7-27c with 7+ hrs of sunlight make these outdoor activities enjoyable all year.
Originally built by a fisherman our house is modest, sunny and comfortable. Sandon river village is unique in a world of over development and is adored by children and adults alike.
