  Situated in a an excellent location for visiting some of Yorkshires highlights. Wonderful views from the balcony, an excellent place to sit and have breakfast, and then to relax after a days sightseeing. We managed to do everything on our wish list, with a stop off at Salts Mill on the way home. Thankyou Heather and Phil.

  Good public transport to Harrogate / Leeds /Skipton as well as Otley & Ilkley. Although we had a lot of rain during our stay there was plenty to do and see and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Heather & Phil home. The house is spacious with a beautiful garden. We felt comfortable and detailed information on heating / kitchen appliances etc a great help.

  A wonderful holiday exchange in a beautiful part of the world. We spent two wonderful weeks in a very comfortable detached home on the outskirts of the town of Otley in Yorkshire. The town had a very nice old ambience, people were so lovely and friendly and the cafes were great!! The Yorkshire dales and the villages therein were a joy to discover whether walking, cycling or driving slowly through this magnificent landscape. We had the pleasure of meeting Heather and Phil on their return home. On our return home, it was a joy to find everything so well taken care of. We will definitely be back!!

• A great location and a lovely house in a small mar

  We were met on arrival by Heather and Phil who promptly made us feel at home and showed us around the house before they left us in to care for their home. We loved the light and airy kitchen/dining with its doors out onto the deck and the lovely view across the Dales. It was the ideal place for aperitifs after a busy day touring around Yorkshire. Heather and Phil are keen walkers and there were maps galore to pour over and absolutely heaps of tourist brochures all neatly catalogued by area which made our daily planning a breeze. There was just so much to do that in no time at all our weeks exchange was over and it was time to pack up and move on. We met up with Heather & Phil again in NZ when they return exchanged and we all had a great time recounting our experiences. Would not hesitate to recommend them for an exchange.

• Yorkshire Magic

  A warm welcome and a cuppa greeted us when we arrived in Yorkshire. Heather met us at the station and whisked us home along roads lined with picturesque sights. It was really nice to renew our friendship with Heather and Phil as they had exchanged with us in NZ in Nov 16. Their home is light filled, spacious and very comfortable. We felt very at home. Thank you both for all the welcoming touches, local food, wine, daffodils and maps galore. So good! Otley and surrounding villages are just delightful. We very much enjoyed exploring the rural areas as well as Leeds. There is a lot to do in this area. We highly recommend Heather and Phil as exchange partners.
