  • Excellent stay

We have done several changes to date and they have gone all very well however this home has been the best we have svisited. We have liked very much the home and the views. David & Claire have been very kind, they have left us a lot of food and even an additional room in order to be in the position of choosing where to sleep. As I said in the tittle: Simply excellent!

  • PEACEFUL COUNTRY HOME WITH STUNNING VIEWS

This home exchange was not what we expected…it was so much better! Claire & David were exceptional home exchange partners. It was such a pleasure to meet them at their home & to be given clear instructions on the house & local area. They were very kind & generous to leave us a range of tasty local products & a jar of Claire’s homemade orange marmalade that is award worthy in our opinion. Their home is at the end of a lane that offers a peaceful & private setting with stunning views of the valley & a perfect base to just relax around the pool, go for walks in the countryside or venture out to local historical villages & wineries. Even with our very limited French we found the people in the area very friendly & helpful. A very memorable & relaxing holiday!

  • Beautiful home in magnificent rural setting.

A fantastic exchange for us.This magnificent house and gardens is set just up hill from a village with excellent eating options. We enjoyed leisurely mornings visiting local medieval towns and villages , to return for a swim in the beautiful pool. Our children really loved it. The nearby city of Roanne offers all you need and has a lovely port area. It's train station has links to all major cities , including Lyon , which we visited and enjoyed. Our hosts made everything easy for us by providing superb instructions for the house re: appliances but also by giving us great ideas for days out, restaurants and local markets etc. This was truly a memorable exchange - one that we will always remember!! Merci Beaucoup.

  • Lovely home and lovely countryside

We had a wonderfull and relaxing vacation in this lovey spacious home. If you are looking for peace and quiet and to be surrounded by natural scenery, with small quaint towns around close by, this would be the place you would like to stay. We were received warmly with local products which we sincerely enjoyed and were gratefull for on our arrival. We thank you Claire and David for offering your home for our vacation and wish you all the best in the future. Tinin and Paco

  • Amazing Height to Breathtaking Views!

Claire and David's ski chalet condo is ideally located for skiing and hiking the bisses nestled throughout the Swiss canton of Valais in Veysonnaz. The amenities of town are within a block of it. Best to bring groceries from Sion to avoid exorbitant prices. Veysonnaz is a true family resort with lots of organised and creative activities for all. Cozy and efficient in design, this condo has everything one needs for a getaway from it all. I could not take my eyes off the mountains surrounding through every window. Sitting on the small deck was ever so relaxing and inspiring. I took a bus, one could walk, to Nandez, another ski village across the ravine. From there I caught a bus to Mount Fort. There are gondolas leading to the top. Many mountain bikers and hikers shared the lift to explore the rugged, and not so, marked trails. Another gondola takes observers to the top of Mount Fort to see the highest peaks Switzerland has to offer. the Matterhorn and Mount Blanc were clearly in view!! Also rented a car in Sion, that got me exploring local towns and into Annecy France. Such a gorgeous area to explore. Sion is a historic monument small town abounding with culture with stunning winding streets to castle forts. But its the people here who are real attractions too. Very friendly and inviting. This was an exceptionally fondly memorable exchange. Forever grateful, Diane Campbell Cowichan Bay, BC Canada

  • Exceptional Home!

We were very fortunate indeed to have been offered an exchange with Claire, David, & family, as this was quintessential French countryside living at its best! Some delicious local specialties awaited us upon our arrival and there were several binders of information which avoided the need for us to visit tourist bureaus. Our exchange partners left their car for us at the airport and we did the same after our side trip to Paris on the way home . . . such a relief to avoid the train stations. We arrived during a full-on heat wave which made afternoon touring a bit of a challenge for the kids (we were generously allowed to bring our son’s friend along), but not to fear, they have a lovely pool to cool down in which made the weather much more tolerable. There is a gorgeous view of the surrounding valley from the property. We built so many wonderful memories, including a day trip to Lyon (highly recommended). Many thanks!
