Two wonderful weeks in Göttingen
We definitely can recommend Anne and Daniel’s house in Göttingen. It is very close to many places to eat and drink and you see many things by walking and by using public transport. Our guests gave us, beside a few wonderful presents, lots of things to read about the area, and we even ran short of time. Some tips: guided tour in Göttingen; walking through the woods from Ebergötzen (the mill from Max and Moritz, and the bread museum) back to the city; the Leine cycle route from Leinefelde to the city; Einbeck; Duderstadt…. And enjoying the beautiful garden after an exhausting day!
Nice holiday in Göttingen
We had a nice and relaxing vacation in the house of Daniel and Anne. The house is pleasant. It has a great location - you can walk to the city center, swimming pools are also very close. Communication with Daniel and Anne was kind - they are very nice hosts.

Dear Daniel and Anne, dear fellow home-exchangers. This year we changed for a periode of 2 weeks homes with a very nice couple from Göttingen in Germany and we had a lovely stay in their large, cosy and practical house, where we felt at home immidiately. Our swappartners are very nice and reliable people and we met them personnaly on our way to Germany. Göttingen is a great historical and interesting city and one of the greatest and most well known university cities of Germany. I guess partly because of that the atmosphere is very relaxt and the people are realy very friendly everywhere. The house is very, very close to the city and that is practical too (all shops are on walking distancey) and in the envorionments there is a lot to do, with p.e. Kassel and the Harz Mountains closeby. Conclusion: very much recommended and thanks again for everything, Daniel and Anne! Greetings from Jet and Wouter

We had a fabulous break and stayed a beautiful home. Daniel and Anne are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world. We explored all of the surrounding countryside and loved our visits to Hamlyn and the mountains. The house is very comfortable and spacious and we were made to feel so welcome. We loved it and would highly recommend a visit to this area. Thank you Daniel and Ann

We had a wonderful time in this spacious house with the beautiful garden. It was a perfect base for us. Göttingen is a lovely city with loads of things to do. All the detailed information that was provided helped us to put together an interesting program. Anne and Dan also recommended lots of nice restaurants – we enjoyed that very much. The communication with our hosts was quick and responsive, thanks to their tips we really had a great time!

Thank you Anne and Dan for the use of your very comfortable house. We really appreciated the lovely meal you left for us and the drinks etc. We loved the area in which you live and managed to visit all the places you suggested even if we did not cycle. Gottingen itself is lovely and easy to get around - the guided tour was very interesting. The surrounding areas are very beautiful and some of the villages a delight to explore. Thanks again! It was a beautiful holiday ! It was our first long journey in Germany and we loved it. The city göttingen is nice and pleasant and the house is big and cosy. You can sit outside in the little garden. Anne and Daniel had prepared a nice welcome, meal, food, drinks and flowers. The house is located near the old city, only 5 min walk. And near (10 min) a big sport centre with two swimming pools, playground for children...... . Anne left for us a lot of documentation that was very useful, we visited the beautiful and well known new botanical garden, European bread museum, castle Hanstein, Han.munden, the grenzlandmuseum, Duderstadt and the museum..... We had plans to go to the Harzmountains but the time was to short. We certainly go back to the region. Thanks to Anne and Daniel we had a great time !

Thank you Anne and Daniel for letting us stay in your wonderful home. We were very comfortable. Even though the house is in the middle of a city it is so very peaceful. We made use of your garden, eating and relaxing outside, and we never heard any traffic. Göttingen is a city with a lot of flair and lots to offer - not only shops but also gardens, museums, galleries and many varieties of restaurants. Even though Göttingen is a city it stilll has a very homely feel to it, with lots of interesting old buildings and small streets to browse around. There is something here for young and old alike. Outside of the city is also a lot to see. We enjoyed visiting the old castles, some set in beautiful scenery. We enjoy walking and this is a very good place for walks and being with nature. The museum about East Germany was very interesting. The Harz Mountains are also near enough for a day trip. Travelling round is quite easy as Göttingen has a very good bus schedule and a good train system. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Greece and wish you all the best for future exchanges. Hallo , it has been a pleasure to have you here as our exchange partners. Everything looked perfectly well when we returned, and we could tell that you have been treating our belongings with care. We ourselves had a grand time in beautiful Gôttingen, almost midtown but very quiet . We enjoyed the large warm house full of books. We enjoyed walks in the countrysite and the Hartz mountains area, visiting ancient towns and lovely villages. We enjoyed our stay in your house. The offer to shop for us, the wine and chocolate when we arrived, all that made us feel very welcome indeed! Lots and lots of information about Göttingen and surroundings! We amde good us of it.
Fantastic location,lovely stay
I loved this comfortable and light filled split level house, lots of different places to sit, all relaxing, and lovely welcome laid on by Dan, and Anne. With the town centre in one direction, train/ bus station easily accessible, and in other direction straight into lovely walks and cycle rides along canals, country lanes, with lakes, and great cafes en route. I also really loved the fantastic swimming pool, vastly better than English pale imitations, and again, just a delightful walk up the road. I found Germany intriguing , would like to explore some more, saw lots of interest in area I explored. Hosts provided a huge amount of info. about area and lots of help generally, so a very good experience.
