Jim and Dinah’s comfortable cottage in a special location is a brilliant place to stay. We spent a day in Liverpool, a visit to NT Speke Hall, and a day at Port Sunlight with its fantastic art gallery. The trains are convenient and very reasonable. Everything including a very well organised information pack, was provided for our very comfort. Thank you both.

We loved our first stay on the Wirral. Thank you, Jim and Dinah for going the extra mile in looking after us. We enjoyed cycling and walking trips to and around Port Sunlight, Heswell, West Kirby, Birkenhead Park, Neston, golf at Royal Liverpool G.C, Hoylake, brunch at at the Real Food Cafe in Neston, meal out at the Boat House, taking in the sun set, and generally, relaxing in their lovely cottage and garden. Highly recommended.

We felt very much at home in Jim and Dinah’s house, and had a great time exploring the local area. We enjoyed lovely coastal walks and visits to some interesting places - port sunlight, chirk castle and bodnant gardens. It was lovely to walk along the river front in the evenings. We appreciated the helpful information and communication with Jim and Dinah, which helped to make this a very successful exchange. Thank you for looking after our home and caring for the hens!

Dinah and Jim made us feel very welcome in their lovely, clean, comfortable and tidy home, with a beautiful garden to sit and relax in.The house was just perfect and we very much appreciated that they left our Breakfast and a bottle of wine in the fridge ! Dinah had kindly taken the time to print off lots of local walks which take you through some lovely countryside in and around the Wirral. Parkgate is a very pleasant village, lively and friendly with 2 great ice cream shops, and nearby Neston is a market town with plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants. Dinah and Jim’s home is a perfect location for exploring the Wirral, Liverpool, Chester and North Wales. We would certainly recommend Liverpool and the Beatles tour, Conwy and Chester for places to visit. We can’t thank you enough,Dinah and Jim, for a happy and relaxing week.

This exchange with Jim and Dinah was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They made our arrival a delight with a home-made meal ready for the oven and TWO beautiful flower arrangements! Their home is quiet, roomy, modern and beautifully furnished, and is situated just steps away from The Parade in Parkgate, with views across the River Dee, several fine and affordable restaurants and pubs, and an excellent ice cream shop that we frequented regularly. The location was ideal for day and overnight trips to Wales, Liverpool, the Cotswolds, the Lake District, etc. Jim and Dinah also left our own home immaculate when they left. And they were such a pleasure to communicate with that our only regret is that we never had a chance to meet them face-to-face! Very highly recommended.

Very friendly couple. Home so British that we would have stayed a little bit longer. We found the place very clean and tidy with a few ingredients for our first meal. We've been introduced to the local tennis club thanks to the family, what gives us quite a lot of fun playing on the grass (what you cannot find anywhere else). We tried some amazing restaurants on the first street down the house. The area is lovely and we enjoyed travelling to the Welsh Mountains, that are just outstanding. It was a pleasant time and a very successful swap.

We enjoyed a very relaxing spring break on the Wirral in Jim and Dinah's beautiful home. This was a part of the UK we had never visited before and our stay was far too short to explore all that the area has to offer. We thoroughly recommend visiting the area, lots to see and do in the immediate vicinity and great for day trips to Chester, Liverpool, North Wales and even Ireland. Jim & Dinah are great hosts and provided all the information one could want to make the most of one's stay, we can't wait to go back!
