Our neighbourhood is quiet and relaxed, but close enough to Sale town centre and Manchester (by bus, tram or car) to be convenient. We're 20 mins drive from Manchester airport, so you can combine a stay in Manchester with a trip to the Lake District (our 2nd home). Sale (in the county of Cheshire) is a suburban neighbourhood, whereas Manchester is a busy, thriving city famous for football, cricket, the club scene, it's many world class museums, theatres and the world renowned Bridgewater Hall (for classical music). For those who like hiking and climbing, by car we are one hour's drive to the Peak District, 1.5 hours to North Wales/Snowdonia, and 1.75 hours to the Lake District. Cheshire has many stately homes and some of England's best gardens open to the public.
