Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio
3 Bed family home on edge of Ryde within walking distance of town and beaches. Off Road parking. South facing rear garden. Sleeps 6.
We love this house because it means you can leave the car behind and walk to the shops, cinema, cafés or beach along a quiet residential road. You can also walk up from the Ferry or Hovercraft so you don't have to worry about parking and you can even catch the train from the pier out to Sandown & Shanklin. The children can use their scooters or bikes safely to get about and if you prefer using the bus there is a bus stop just along from the house that can take you to Newport and beyond.
The house use to be a grand Victorian residence that has since been split up into three properties and we have front and rear gardens. It is set back from the road. From the front you can see the sea from the two bedrooms whilst the rear gets the sun all day long. Little extras? We offer a jacuzzi bath, a wood burner, a bean to cup coffee maker and car exchange too!

Descripción de nuestro barrio y la zona en que se encuentra
We are set back from the road and have a large front garden and beautiful private rear garden with tiny pond. Great location for walking down to the beach or Ryde centre, but also on a bus route to almost everywhere else on the island! In fact the house is well positioned so you can leave the car behind if you wish and explore on foot, bike, boat or train.
Within walking distance of Ryde, you can easily pick up your groceries or drift around the independent and vintage shops that are located in the town and there are plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants plus the beautiful beaches and some lovely walks or bike rides along the sea front. You can also catch the Hovercraft which takes 10 minutes and then hop on a train at Portsmouth and head to Chichester, Winchester, Southampton and even London which takes less than 2 hours to get to.

What we love to do is get on our bikes and cycle out to the beach, down to Quarr Abbey to see the pigs, or drive to East Cowes and then get the chain ferry across into Cowes and cycle on to Gurnard. Just being by the sea is delightful and you can get some beautiful views. Quarr Abbey also has a coffee shop and down at Fishbourne there is a lovely pub where you can watch the ferry come in.

Please treat the house like it is your own.
We cannot accept pets and do not wish to have any smoking in the house. It is a family friendly home so please relax and enjoy the home and garden. Before you leave just strip the beds, put one load on to wash and leave the rest in the wash basket!
Don't go mad with the cleaning, just try and leave it as you found it; maybe hoover and wipe down surfaces, and load the dishwasher.
There are bikes you can borrow ( we have boys aged 12 and 8 and there are several adult bikes including a fold up and also an electric bike) and also locks so please make sure you always lock them up well. There is also a Renault Clio that you can hire via easycarclub.co.uk. That way you are covered for insurance and breakdown. We have gathered lots of visitor information and there are maps you you can borrow too.
The boys rooms have some toys, lego and playmobil you are welcome to play with and there are lots of books and DVDs suitable for children.
