Liz & Jeff were very helpful with communication prior to the exchange, during and after. They left us lots of maps and info on places of interest to visit and walks to explore locally. The house information was very clear to understand. Their farm house is large but very cosy with beautiful homemade furniture and artwork, a very well equiped kitchen was appreciated. The King size bed was extremely comfortable, so much so we even purchased the same bed topper when we returned home! Gifts of wine and homemade chutney were left for us and enjoyed fresh eggs from the hens, we also enjoyed the Summer allotment produce left for us. York was a great area to explore and the beautiful countryside around, so glad we made a return visit to the area again after over 30 years. Thank you Liz & Jeff you have a super home. We spent a lovely 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute. The home felt almost rural with its adjacent field, hens and apple trees, yet the bus for York was just across the street. We loved the easy drives to the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and the coast. Also loved the take-away curry from The Parvin! Thank you, Liz and Jeff, for being such accommodating and helpful hosts--it was a very pleasant exchange :-)

A warm welcome awaited us, freshly baked bread and friendly hens. A farm close to York and all its layers of history ; wonderful bike rides around the Howardian Hills, walking some of the Cleveland Way around Filey, and cycling part of the canal at Pocklington. Thanks again, Liz and Jeff, for ensuring we had such a comfortable stay at the farm!

We had a very successful exchange with Liz and Jeff in their lovely home located just outside York. It was perfect for visiting the wonderful Yorkshire countryside and using local transport to get into the city. We would particularly recommend Sutton Bank, Fountains Abbey, Whitby and the East coast, not to mention York Minster and a guided tour by Yorktour. Liz and Jeff were great to liaise with and left plenty of information for us about the local area and things to do. An added bonus were their 4 chickens who provided us with delicious fresh eggs very morning. All in all a most enjoyable and productive exchange.

Liz & Jeff's home is a work of art! We loved the blend of colours used for the interior decor, and the armchair that features miniatures of Manor Farm cottage & the chickens is delightful. We spent our days walking / cycling south into the city (for a walking tour, the Minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre and the art gallery), or driving north for walks in the Howardian hills. Thanks for taking great care of our home.

Liz and Jeff made us very welcome in their lovely farm house and the garden and chickens were an absolute delight. From the house a two minute walk to the bus stop and a 20 minute ride and we were in the centre of York. Walking the walls was great fun and the Shambles market and shops very quaint. A great place for our weekend swop. Highly recommended.

Especially at the moment with restrictions in place for all of us, this was an ideal swap. Very convenient for York, which was only a bus ride or river walk away. The 3 hens were a joy to look after and their eggs were a bonus. The smell of freshly baked bread welcomed us on our arrival. A safe and cosy home swap.

Neighbours welcomed us. Some nice homemade bread and chutney waiting for us. Great bus service into York just a 5 minute walk away. Communication was easy and we had a great exchange. Thank you.
