Ray was a dental surgeon and I was an oncology nurse, now both retired. Our two grown up daughters have flown the nest with one living in Sydney Australia and the other locally in London. We like to arrange reunions with family as well as travel with friends so we only look for swaps to accommodate 6 or more people

We have downsized and this is our new listing! We are looking for a last minute swap/non simultaneous for a reunion with our Canadian family. Our home is a luxurious and modernised period apartment, in sought after Wimbledon. The apartment is one of three lateral apartments where we have sole use of the parking with gated entrance and the large garden.
The kitchen, dining and family TV area is open plan with a beautiful Crittle window looking into a reception/dayroom. An effective blind allows for this room to become another bedroom en-suit with a high end sofa bed. The main bedroom has a superking bed with the other having a double bed. Both en-suite. We can sleep 6 people comfortably. The garden is large and an oasis from busy London. There is underfloor heated under all floors with a coal effect gas fire in the kitchen
The garden has a very large terrace with BBQ, seating and Gazebo with a Kadaai fire pit.

We are walking distance to Wimbledon Park Tube station (District line) and Wimbledon mainline station, giving easy access to the South Bank and West End theatres. Wimbledon Park, Wimbledon Common and the all England Tennis are all walking distance with restaurants and cafes in the charming Wimbledon Village. The village has two lovely delicatessens, restaurants, smart clothes shops as well as a small Tesco and a butcher. Nearby 'down the Hill' at Wimbledon Park there is a co-op supermarket, bread shop, cafes and a lovely family run tapas bar. Nearby Leopold Road also has a selection of cafes and shops.

Attractions, apart from people watching - too numerous to mention. Information is in the house for our favourite restaurants and coffee shops. Apart from easy driving to the countryside and south coast there is everything the city has to offer. River cruises down to Greenwich and upstream to Windsor/Kew, West End and South Bank theatres and all London has to offer is available within easy public transport.
