We are a London based couple with a small baby. We've both lived most of our lives in London - Richard was born here and Gemma moved here for university and love everything the city has to offer - free art galleries, traditional and new theatre, dance and opera, great food both in restaurants and locally available produce. Since becoming parents we're exploring the city from a new perspective - mostly lots of walks, but all sorts of child-friendly activities are available on our doorstep - playgroups, sports/dance classes, art lessons etc. We've travelled widely and spent periods living abroad - in France, Greece, Belgium, India and Canada - including a flat swap in Toronto and homestays in India and France.

Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio
Centrally located apartment with two double bedrooms and cot. Light and airy first floor flat at the end of a Victorian terrace. We have lived here since 2005 and made it our family home.
Quiet residential location that is walking distance (10-25 mins) from major London sights and activities - river Thames, Tates Britain and Modern, the South Bank, National Theatre, Globe Theatre, Borough Market, Royal Festival Hall, the Houses of Parliament and the Oval cricket ground.
More locally in Kennington you will find nice coffee shops, pubs, restaurants and independent art galleries.
We have a small baby so the flat is child friendly and comes with cot, high chair, bouncer and steriliser.
We did a flat swap with friends in Toronto three years ago and loved experiencing a new city as a local.
Available May, June, July, August

Descripción de nuestro barrio y la zona en que se encuentra
Kennington is a residential area, just south of Waterloo and close to the river Thames. Many politicians live here for its close proximity to Westminster and the Houses of Parliament. Our flat is a lateral conversion of a Victorian terrace and the area is typified by Victorian and Georgian townhouses and garden squares, Cleaver Square and West Square being highlights.
To the other side is Elephant & Castle which is rapidly being redeveloped with new pubs (the Elephant & Castle), restaurants (Theos), food market (Mercato Metropolitan) and fringe theatre (Southwark Playhouse).
