We have a ground floor apartment in a Victorian house near Stockwell tube station on the Northern and Victoria Lines of the Underground and therefore there is ready access to central London. Local buses are also frequent and we do not therefore use a car in London. We use the apartment for holidays and weekends, going to the theatre, walking around the buzzing city, going to galleries, markets etc. There is a local farmer's market on Saturdays, local food shops and cafes and the flat is a bus ride from Borough Market and Clapham eateries.

The house is on a quiet road and the apartment has a small leafy garden which catches the sun. There is a "front" room which has a double sofa bed and the master bedroom which has double bed. The living area has doors which open into the garden. The kitchen also opens onto the garden and is very light. It is fully stocked as we like to cook. We eat at the small table in the kitchen. There is TV and Wi-Fi. We had a refurbishment during this summer (2017) and are nearly done!
