The city of Angers is easily reached by car in only 10 minutes. Angers is part of the Unesco World Heritage site of the Loire Valley . It is a lively city with lots of shops and restaurants . It is mainly famous for its castle ( one of the Loire Valley castles) and its specilialities ( Cointreau Liqueur , Anjou wines ...).
The Anjou Region is well-known for its vineyards ( red wines , sweet wines and sparkling wines).
There is a motorway close by, to Paris in 3 hours ( fast train: 1hour and 30 minutes) or to Nantes (45 minutes) and the Atlantic coast and famous beaches (1 hour and 15 minutes). The Normandy beaches are only 2h30 drive. The fast train from Angers station takes you to Disneyland Paris in less than 2 hours ( direct train) and Paris Airport (CDG) in 2 hours and 20 minutes. There is also a choice of Theme Parks in the area ( Futuroscope 2hours/ Puy du Fou ( 1hour) / Terra Botanica 5 minutes)
