We spent a month on the north island of New Zealand and used Craig and Colleen’s home as a base to explore. It was a beautiful modern bright and airy home with easy access to downtown Auckland via either car, ferry from Davenport, or NZ1 bus. It was walking distance to the little downtown area of Mairangi Bay or an easy bus ride to the larger Browns Bay. The home was clean and functional and had good privacy despite close proximity to the neighbors. Craig and Colleen met us at the airport and hosted us for the first night before heading off to our place in California the next day. This was an exceptional exchange and we would highly recommend staying at their home when in the Auckland area.

We have had a fabulous two months in New Zealand. Thank you first of all to Colleen and Craig for helping us to navigate our first exchange. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay - a great home and a great location. We had a fabulous time.

I/we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mairangi Bay. Such a beautiful area. My sister, and my brother in law also send their thanks for their time, they came for part of our stay. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful. Craig and Colleen’s home is spacious and very comfortable. The village atmosphere in shops and cafes, were friendly and welcoming.

Easy walking distance to Mairangi Bay beach and lots of good walks beyond. Pleasant, but unobtrusive neighbours. Just a thoroughly good and memorable exchange experience all up.

Craig & Colleen have a super house right in the heart of Mairangi Bay. Spacious, modern and comfortable its an easy house to live in. Just minutes walk to the village and beach. Buses run frequently along the coast making the whole area easily accessible. We joined in the local walking groups and the tennis club where we received a warm welcome. The house is conveniently situated for easy access to the motorway so we made a few easy trips North to explore some wonderful beaches and get into the New Zealand countryside. We had a wonderful experience of the easy living Kiwi lifestyle, sampled much of the incredible variety of food available from the unique Kiwi cafes to the abundance of Asian cuisine. Our family had a wonderful stay in Craig’s and Colleen’s beautiful and spotlessly clean home. The location was perfect for day excursions to beaches, parks, tramping trails, and quaint villages. This home in Mairangi Bay, which is more like a village than a suburb of Auckland, is comfortable and modern. Craig and Colleen made every effort to ensure that we felt at home, including introductions to friendly neighbours, and took good care of our home in Calgary, Canada. We met and spent some time with Craig & Colleen and are happy to recommend them as helpful and reliable exchange partners.

Craig and Colleen are lovely people and their home and home town fabulous. We were lucky enough to met Craig and Colleen before the swap (after lots of emails) but everything we needed to know was waiting for us when we got to the house. The house itself was brilliant - light, bright, fully kitted out and a delight to live in. Auckland is home for me but I had never been to Mairangi Bay - but I am a convert! Lovely village (oh the cafe and sushi shop!), right on the beach, all the shops you need, playground for children and very close to motorway links. All in all we loved it.
