Christian, Franzi and Paula have a beautiful spacious apartment well located for exploring Leipzig. We appreciated use of the bicycles, as Leipzig is great for cycling. Especially enjoyed the balcony , so comfy and nice views. Leipzig has lots to offer and we would highly recommend an exchange to this beautiful apartment & city.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-week stay in Christian, Franzi and Paula's home. They made us feel very welcome & comfortable. Their apartment is beautiful with high ceilings, wooden floors and lots of windows. We spent many mornings on their balcony overlooking the backyard, checking out the birds and enjoying their view. Their apartment is ideally located with lots of nearby shops, bakeries, cafes and parks. As well, it provides a great base to explore Leipzig. We loved the city - vibrant and alive with lots of music, theatre, cafes and parks. A excellent exchange!

On a two month journey this fall, we stopped for five days in Leipzig at the memorable apartment of Christian, Franzi, and Paula. The city was a surprise, with many layers of life and history to uncover. We visited the museums and houses of favourite composers, enjoyed superb concerts, and walked the route of the city's resistance to its post-war Russian occupation. The variety and creativity of food reflected a multi-cultural vibe of the town. The apartment was a very comfortable place, probably once inhabited by a Stasi commander (don't miss the museum of the Stasi, located in its former headquarters, and untouched since). The spacious rooms and high ceilings reminded us of an old flat in Manhattan, or in Montreal, lovingly maintained to its original glorious intent. We enthusiastically recommend this exchange opportunity to other Homelinkers!
