Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio

Two bedroom, three story home in the Canadian Rocky Mountains located close to an airport, on a ski hill, minutes from a golf course in a small mountain community. There is a fully equipped kitchen, an adjoining dining room, casual living room with plenty a space to recline in front of a fire, two decks: one facing the mountain with a hot tub, and one with a BBQ facing the valley with a view of the Purcell Mountains and gorgeous sun rises. It is furnished with hand crafted furniture with a rustic theme. We often see deer near our back steps and the occasional bear up the mountain side in the summer. There is a private heated garage and a contracted snow removal service to deal with the heavy snowfall in the winter. This is an ideal location for skiing in the winter and exploring the mountains in the summer.

Living on higher ground with spectacular views and easy access to outdoor adventure. The ski hill is out the back door, as is access to cross-country ski trails, bike trails and hiking. The condo has direct access to the back country as there is no development further up the mountainside.

Sullivan Stone Lodge consists of 36 homes in an eight building condominium property overlooking the Purcell Mountain range. Our condo is one of four in the building on the mountain side closest to the ski lift. It is a quiet mountain location, perfect for families year round.

An automobile is essential as there is extremely limited public transport in the area and it is a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk on a well maintained path into town. All essential shopping such as groceries, drug stores and hardware stores are available in Kimberley. Cranbrook is the nearest City and is 35 minutes away.

Access to four season adventure.

The home is located on the Kimberley Alpine Village ski hill with easy access to a chairlift; it truly is ski-in, ski-out and is ideal for beginner and intermediate skiers. Skating, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing are other ways to enjoy the powder filled days. Nearby ski hills include:
- Fernie Alpine Resort, 1hour 17 minute drive
- Panorama Alpine Resort 1 hour 41 minute drive
- Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Lake Louise Ski Resort within 3 hours.

The town of Kimberley is a five minute drive down the hill. Kimberley is a friendly small town with quiant boutiques, good restaurants, and countless recreational pursuits. You can choose to spend your days fishing, skiing, golfing, hiking, biking, or strolling through the town's outdoor pedestrian plaza.

Trickle Creek Golf Course is a 3 minute drive away.

With the Kimberley Nature Park and Lois Creek Trails within city limits, and the Purcell and Rocky Mountains just minutes away, Kimberley allows for some of the best hiking in Canada. Kimberley's truly exceptional and extensive trails have something for everyone. Whether your ideal hike is an easy stroll to a roaring waterfall, a jog on a paved trail that heads into the Rocky Mountain valley, an epic quad busting multi-day trek along the ridges of the high mountain peaks, or a walk through the forest, no hiker will be disappointed.
