We built this chalet in 1993 and use it 4 days a week all winter long. Once there we are able to walk to all activities other than cross-country skiing. At the end of the street there is a popular 45 minute winter walk through the woods, up and down hills and over a creek a few times. We are 150 meters from ski-in, ski-out access to the mountain while the skating rink and the skating loop through the woods (lit for night time skating) are a 1/2 km walk. The resort village is beside the skating rink. It is small, with only a couple of stores, 2 restuarants and a fun pub.
Ski lines are small.
The Okanagan Valley is noted for its hot and dry summers with beautiful swimming beaches and for its 200+ wineries. Our cabin is only 30 minutes from this...but is in a different world. Here there is cooler mountain air and mountain wildflowers. It is very quiet with no stores open over the summer. Mountain biking is popular and there are a limited number of hiking trails
