Our neighbourhood is a leafy haven, a bus or car ride away from the high-rise bustle of the Gold Coast. Ocean Parade is a friendly quiet street used by cyclists, joggers and skateboarders. It borders the creek used by paddleboarders, kayaks and fishing craft and is home to the lorikeets, kookaburras, scrub turkeys, pelicans, possums and even an occasional koala.

Just over the hill is Burleigh Heads surf beach and village. The beach is popular with walkers, swimmers and body boarders while the point is a place for serious surfers.The shopping village is now a cosmopolitan mix of cafes, winebars, delis, fashion and restaurants. Or just 4 mins away by car is a shopping centre with large supermarkets, boutique shops, post office, electronics etc.
As well as sun, surf and sand (even in winter), the Gold Coast's arts and cultural scene is burgeoning including public art and film festivals and a major redevelopment for the Gold Coast Cultural Precinct.
