Horbury is a small pleasant town with a village feel and is a safe & pleasant place to live. We have lots of amenities including shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs and a small park all only a minutes walk from the house. The nearby river & canal are great places for a stroll.

There is easy access to the major motorways that run north, south, east and west as well as access to public transport with a mainline railway station in Wakefield only 3 miles away. Here there are trains and buses to all the major cities.

Wakefield itself is a small city with a theatre, cinema, sporting facilities & the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Three miles away we have The Yorkshire Sculpture Park which is set in beautiful parkland and is a lovely day out.

By car it is only 20 minutes to the city of Leeds, the historic city of York is 40 minutes whilst London & Edinburgh can be reached in under 3 hours by rail. The National Parks of the Yorkshire Dales,Lake District & Peak District, the north -east & west coasts are within easy travelling distance for days out.
