Three quarters of a mile from the Georgian town of Ampthill >http://www.ampthill.info/<, we have good restaurants, traditional English pubs, quality supermarket, butcher, post office, specialty shops, antique emporium, medical and dental services, all within easy walking distance. Our nearest train station (1.8 m) is 50 minutes from London St Pancras International from where there is Eurostar. Oxford, Cambridge, Ely, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon are within easy driving distance. The elegant cathedral city of St Albans is 29 minutes by train. The surrounding Bedfordshire landscape is tranquil and pretty, including historic parks, conservation woods and many footpaths for countryside walking.
