- Drive up the coast & visit the Mystic Aquarium and Seaport (1 hr), as well as Newport, Rhode Island (2 hrs) and Boston (2.5 hrs). Also, you can take a ferry across the Long Island Sound, or take a ferry for a day trip to Block Island (2 hrs to Point Judith and then an hour on the ferry to Block Island).
- Hike in the spectacular Hudson Highlands in New York, along the Hudson River , and walk in the scenic Cold Spring town (1 hr drive).

- Many local breweries in CT that are fun to visit: Two Roads in Stratford, Nob Hill in Ridgefield & Stony Creek in Branford.
