In a desirable location of the Back Bay district of Boston's center city and next to the Charles River Esplanade, our apartment is on the second floor of a typical nineteenth century brownstone home. The area is residential near the lively commercial areas of Newbury and Boylston Streets and the beautiful tree studded mall of Commonwealth Avenue. Flooded with light from a south-facing row of windows, the living area shares space by the windows with our dining area, seating six. The windows look down on a quiet side street which runs a couple of blocks to the lively commercial areas. Also facing south is the bedroom overlooking a small red brick plaza and small back street. The kitchen with cherry wood cabinetry and granite counters is fully equipped, separated from the living area with a historic oak sliding door.
