For foodies: Dresden-Neustadt is a trendy, mulitethnic quarter with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Dresden hosts three restaurants with Michelin-stars, but also offers several places with every day cuisine for all kind of tastes.
For those who like to explore the surroundings: The Elbe river valley (perfect for biking and jogging) is in walking distance, 5 min. from our home. The beautiful baroque castles of Pillnitz and Moritzburg with parks and gardens and the romantic vineyards of Radebeul and Meissen (City of Porcelain) are nearby as well. Within reach: The capitals Berlin and Prague (2 hours), amazing Saxon Switzerland for hiking and climbing,1 hour), dreamy Spreewald (canoeing, 1 hour).
