The coastal town of Mossel Bay is the gateway to the famous Garden Route in South Africa. With more than 60 kilometres of beaches - and warm, beach-going weather throughout the year (with at least 300 days of sunshine in every 365!) Mossel Bay is the ideal holiday destination. Some wonderful day trips can be organised from here. Ten nature reserves embrace the varied ecosystems of the area as well as unique marine reserves, home to soft coral reefs, dolphins, seals and a host of other marine life. Various bays along the Garden Route are nurseries to the endangered Southern Right Whale which come here to calve in the winter and spring. The area is also very well known for its great golf courses.
