Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio

This is a beautifully renovated four storey period English house in lovely neighbourhood set near a 700 acre park, 3 miles from Leeds city centre.

It has generous accommodation with five bedrooms (one en suite), further sofabeds and two additional family bathrooms. It is nicely decorated but family friendly with wooden floors and washable upholstery throughout. There is a modern dining kitchen which is a lovely family room with original period features opening onto a secluded walled garden which is safe and private with an outdoor fireplace and small play castle. Our three children have loads of toys and a generous playroom/home cinema/games room downstairs in the converted basement off the dining room with access to the garden. The accommodation is flexible and the top floor beds and bathroom make it ideal if you are bringing in-laws or a nanny

The neighbourhood is delightful with many family homes, and the park (apparently the largest public city park in Europe so we have been told)with its 700 acres of land, lake, little zoo, tennis courts, skateboard park, golf course, wood, cafes, playgrounds, cricket grounds and traditional pubs are a ten minute walk away. The corner shop and swings are a five minute walk in the other direction, and a bustling street of boutiques, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes are a twenty minute walk away. Because you are so near the city centre, most ameneties such as health club, swimming pool, cinema, theatres, opera house, restaurants, shopping malls, bowling alleys etc are a short drive away. The bus stop into the town centre is on our road. There are several good quality golf clubs nearby. We are less than two hours drive from the beaches of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey.

It is the perfect base if you plan to explore Yorkshire either because you love the countryside (the lake district, the Yorkshire moors), love culture (the historic town of Leeds , theatre, galleries, home of the Bronte sisters nearby), love history (The York Railway museum, numerous stateley homes priories and abbeys), love shopping (there is a Harvey Nichols department store and many exclusive boutiques in the victorian town centre, antique shops etc)or just wanted somewhere central from which to explore the whole of the UK (London 2 hrs by rail, Scotland 3 hours, Harrogate and York within an hour, Manchester, Birmingham Newcastle all an easy day trip away). There are many fun and educational attractions perfect for children which we can leave a list of.

We would be open to offers of holidays out of school term times, and bank holidays either within the UK, Ireland, Wales (preferably the coast) or anywhere in Europe. We would consider a house in the USA or Canada especially with a pool. We are open to offers and have done up to three successful swaps a year each a great success so make us an offer - we consider everything!
