The village of Calabardina where mostly Spanish come to holiday is on the edge of Cabo Cope National Park between the mountains and the sea giving it a microclimate with very little rain, loads of sunshine and rare extremes of temperature. The villa is only 100 metres from a small safe beach, close to some of the best scuba-diving in the Mediterranean. The small port of Aguilas supplies ample fresh fish to compliment the abundance of local produce. The surrounding area is steeped in Moorish history and the rural Spanish life style of this area makes it a haven in which to relax.
Closest airport is Murcia International (Corvera) 50mins, but Alicante 1hr 50, is easy, as is Almeria (when it is open!) Access from Madrid is possible by train to Aguilas but hiring a car is easier.
